专利摘要:
The device has two parallel passage ways (5), which are arranged in distance corresponding to the foot position of a cattle, and parallel to each other. A water nozzle is arranged in each passage way, and is aligned in longitudinal direction of the passage way. Each passage way is limited on both the sides by angular faces, which guide the feet of the cattle on the passage way and deflect the water beams on the passage way. The front-sided water nozzles are attached to a water-delivery line, where The passage ways are overlaid with non-slip flooring strips.

Title: Device for washing the hooves and legs of cattle
The invention relates to a device for washing the hooves and legs of cattle.
Particularly in the rear transition zone from the hooves to the legs, contamination often takes place by inflammatory germs. This infection by germs develops in these zones, in particular as a result of these zones being the most heavily contaminated with dirt and moisture.
The invention is based on the object of providing an apparatus with which in particular the rear zones between the hooves and the legs of derunders can be cleaned with water in a simple but complete manner.
This object is met with a device according to patent claim 1. Further developments of the device form the subject of sub-claims.
This solution has the advantage that the occurrence of inflammation in these zones is considerably reduced. This results in the further advantage that the use of antibiotics in the stable sector is reduced.
The cattle enter the steps of the establishment from the front side, to which the water sprays are fitted on the inside. When the cattle then stand in the pedestrian steps with the front legs, a motion detector is thereby activated and the water sprayers are switched on via an electrical circuit. The water is then sprayed at elevated pressure, preferably generated by a high-pressure pump, against the hooves and legs of the front legs of the cattle, so that the areas at risk of (disease) germs are washed. The cattle then continue to walk through the pedestrian paths, which means that the hind legs stand in front of the water nozzles and are cleaned. If the individual cow subsequently leaves the establishment, the movement detector switches off the high-pressure pump, which interrupts the water supply to the water nozzles.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing. The following are shown:
Figure 1: a perspective top view of the device
Figure 2: a section along the line II - II in Figure 1 and
Figure 3: a longitudinal section along the line III - III in Figure 1.
The device has a bottom plate 1 with a rectangular cross-section, two longitudinal walls 2 and 3 extending upwards in the longitudinal direction and an upwardly facing end wall 4 on the end side. Two step paths 5 extend longitudinally on the bottom plate, which steps are arranged parallel to each other, which distance corresponds to the lateral distance between the legs of the cattle. Each of the step paths 5 is covered with a non-slip cover strip 6, for example made of plastic material. From the top edge of the side walls 2 and 3, a narrow ledge 7 extends horizontally inwards, and from the inside edges of this ledge, sloping surfaces 8 run down to the cover strip 6. A central ledge 9 extends at the same height over the center axis of the device with the ridges 7, and from this central ledge obliquely extending opposite sides 10 to the cover strips 6. As a result, the step paths 5 are formed such that the legs of the cattle passing through them are always guided towards the cover strip 6 and thus the animals pass the pedestrian paths free of injury.
From the top edge of the end wall 4, a cover plate 11, which is a cover surface of a cupboard 13, extends a short distance in the width direction over the step paths 5. Below the cupboard 13, two water nozzles 12 are arranged on the inside of the head wall 4, which each is directed to the center line of one of the step paths 5. The casing 13 ensures that the cattle do not injure themselves at a sharp edge of the cover plate 11 and further ensures that the legs of the cattle are at a distance from the water sprayers 12 and therefore not are exposed to the initially sharply bundled water jets. The inclined surfaces 8 and 10 ensure that the water does not spray sideways from the device.
The device is, for example, arranged on the feed route from derunders to the milking parlor. The cattle enter the device one after the other via the top wall 4, so that the cattle then stand with their front legs in the step paths 5. The cattle thereby interrupt a motion detector (not shown in the drawing), whereby a high-pressure water pump is switched on, which supplies the water sprayers 12 with water so that the water jets, in particular, cleans the rear areas of the front legs and hooves of the cattle. If the cattle walks farther forward on the pedestrian paths 5, the hind legs for the sprinklers get so cleaned with water jets. The cow then leaves the device in the forward direction, terminating the interruption of the motion detector and thereby electrically switching off the high-pressure pump, and thus the water sprays.
